DMEA Hosting Car Show with a Twist for Member Appreciation Days
EV car shows, food trucks, and electric tool giveaways.
Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) invites the community to Spark ‘n Park: EV Car Show & Member Appreciation Days, scheduled for Friday, October 20, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Hotchkiss Fairgrounds and Saturday, October 21, 9:00 a.m. – noon at the EV fast charging station in Downtown Montrose (corner of N. 1st and Uncompahgre).
“October is National Cooperative Month, and we think the best way to celebrate is with our members. There will be plenty of electric vehicles to check out, along with great conversation and good food. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn about what owning an EV is like and meet some of the DMEA board and staff members,” said DMEA Chief Executive Officer Jack Johnston.
In addition to an EV car show, DMEA will also provide tasty treats from local food vendors, including Southern Belle Biscuits, Chick-a-Pea, Dented Face BBQ, Sunrise Burritos, Montrose Donut and Deli, and The Root Juice Bar. Several DMEA board members and staff will be on hand to talk with members, and the cooperative will also give away various electric tools. Attendees at each event will have the chance to win the grand prize of a Milwaukee Cordless Electric Lawn Mower valued at $1,199.
